HOWELLS SUPPLIES ROOFLIGHTS FOR BARKERS

Howells Patent Glazing has completed a second phase of rooflight replacements for Northallerton retailer Barkers, following successful works in 2022. The team upgraded the ageing barrel vault above Barkers Arcade with a 57.5m hip-ended rooflight system and a small pyramid rooflight, giving the arcade a fresh look for its 40th year. Despite limited access, the installation was delivered accurately through detailed drawings, laser surveys and close coordination with the Barkers site team.

At Barkers Home, Howells installed a 13m by 6m self-supporting rooflight to maximise natural daylight in the store’s main atrium. Barkers again praised Howells for a smooth, high-quality result.
