Double hipped rooflights in aluminium can be installed in both domestic and industrial properties. The size sometimes is the only thing that diferentiates the sector. A larger style rooflight will need more support and if it must be achieved through a selof supporting bar, then the bars will need to be structually suffient to carry that load bearing.
If the style requests a bar that is neat and could also incorporate a wooden style finish, then using a box bar upon a wooden rafter system is the best way forward to meet all criteria.
Whichever style is selected, feel assured that the finished result will be exactly as envisioned at drawing stage

Howells supplied this double hipped aluminium rooflight to Mr H of Solihull. It comprised of a full aluminium thermally broken system 4630 x 3030 mm in size and had a 30' pitch for this house extension.. It was powder coated a standard RAL Satin black internally and externally and incorporated a Set of 28mm Clear Tough D/G Unit - LOW 'E' + Argon Gas Filled - (D/G U Value 1.2W/m2).

As with all our rooflights this Roof was Assembled in our factory. In this case thought it was then delivered as a flat pack as requested for installation by others.
A conservatory we recently completed at Severn Hospice in Shrewsbury. Built in fully thermally broken aluminium, coloured in a relaxing Ral 1015 light ivory. The roof has two electrically operated vents for natural ventilation, utilizing temperature and rain sensors for fully automatic or manual operation. The large area of glazing on three sides give panoramic views of the beautiful garden area. The double doors give nice easy access in and out of the building.
