Natural Smoke Ventilator For Roof Patent Glazing Systems
Description
The natural smoke ventilation system has been designed to accommodate all types of roof patent glazing applications, utilising single glass or double glazing to suit customer requirements up to a total glass weight of 30 kg/m sq.
The system comprises roof mounted pneumatic or electrically operated opening ventilators connected to a remote control panel.
The ventilators are designed to aid the safe evacuation of premises where the system has been installed. All ventilators comply with the recommendations of BS 7346 part1. Accreditation certificate on the test carried out at Warrington Fire Research Centre is available for inspection upon request.
The system also provides for the ventilators to be used on a day to day basis to provide natural ventilation if required. If inclement weather prevails the system can incorporate rain sensors to automatically close the ventilators.
Note! The fire signal is master and will override all other signals.
Specification
Smoke ventilators are manufactured form extruded aluminium alloy sections to BS 1474 1- designation 6063 temper T6. The opening section is supported from the base from on aluminium hinges for maintenance free operations.
Glazing
All smoke vents are factory glazed under controlled conditions.
Controls
- Pneumatic - controlled buy SEPO 50 pneumatic single acting - spring to open fail safe cylinders.
- Electric - Controlled by 24v DC type 8ELA 24.40 actuators.All control systems supplied, commissioned and maintained.
Performance
The smoke ventilators are designed in accordance with BS 7346 part 1 Testing carried our at Warrington Fire Research Centre October 1999.
Finishes
Mill finish or polyester powder coated to standard colour ranges.
Installation
The smoke ventilators are simple to install and require no on site adjustment prior to commissioning. Design and technical back up is provided and we also a full installation service of the system is available.
