Windsor Central Railway Station
Roof glazing works at Windsor Central Railway Station. The work involved removal of existing glazing bars and glass to facilitate inspection of the 150 year old secondary structure, which was found to be in need of extensive repair. Thereafter, reinstatement of existing glazing systems took place following refurbishment and the supply of new materials where necessary.
Additionally a new glazed atria was installed above the shopping concourse utilising all new materials, but kept very much in keeping with the traditions and appearance of the original station canopies. A feature hemispherical dome with decorative glass was supplied and installed above a row of retail units which are in turn covered by the impressive 'Jubilee' canopy.
